✨ The Story of the Person Behind the Screen

Everyone starts in a different place, and every road takes them down a different path — here’s mine.

You see the work — the social posts, the event campaigns, the polished branding. What you might not see is the road that brought me here. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that no path is ever straight — but every turn matters.

Let’s start from the beginning.

Before I even graduated high school, I was working in two different restaurants. I loved the fast pace, the energy, the hustle. But I was also spending time in the mechanics shop — and I liked that too. I wasn’t entirely sure which direction I wanted to go, so I graduated with not just my high school diploma, but also one in Power Mechanics.

Right after graduation, I took a leap and moved to Vancouver, BC for two years to pursue Culinary Arts and Business Management. I completed the program and absolutely loved it. When I moved back home to figure out my next steps, I took on the role of kitchen manager — and that’s when life gave me a new twist: I found out I was pregnant with my first son.

Suddenly, everything shifted……

I was just starting to consider moving back to BC to pursue baking and pastries, but motherhood changed my direction. I hit pause on my career goals and became a full-time mom. Early mornings and late nights in the restaurant industry became harder and harder as a single parent. I knew I needed to pivot, but I also knew my resume was filled with kitchen experience — and that made transitioning tough.

Then one person gave me a shot.
A business owner who believed in me and saw my potential.

That’s when I stepped into the world of insurance — a field I knew nothing about. Honestly, I barely knew how to register my own car, let alone help someone else with theirs. But I learned fast. I grew into that role, and I ended up loving the job, the people I worked with, and the clients I served.

While I was there, I found out I was expecting my second son. But this time, I felt stable. I had support. I had direction.

After maternity leave, I returned to a world of change — more learning, more adjusting. And then, out of nowhere, another opportunity came my way. It wasn’t something I was searching for, but it found me. I took on a new position at an oilfield company, stepping into yet another unfamiliar environment.

Marketing and media were part of the job — and luckily, I’d already been doing that for years (7 years roughly but no big deal) behind the scenes with my dad’s business. That’s when the lightbulb went off:
“If I’m already doing this… why not do it for more businesses?”

So I went back to school again. I got my Digital Marketing and Business Management diploma — because I knew that if I wanted to grow this into something serious, I needed the knowledge and the credentials.

And now… here I am.

✔️ Full-time freelancer.
✔️ Full-time employee.
✔️ Full-time mom of two boys.
✔️ Juggling school drop-offs, sports practices, daycare, deadlines, events, having a life and dreams.

It hasn’t always been easy. Actually, most of it’s been hard. But none of it would be possible without the people in my corner — my friends, my family, and most of all, my boys. They’re the reason I keep pushing. They’re the reason Red Flare Media exists.

So when you work with me, you’re not just getting a marketing service. You’re getting a whole story of grit, growth, and real-life hustle. You’re getting someone who’s been behind the screen, behind the scenes, and now finally, front and center — owning it all.
